Horizonworks Marketing strongly believes that the flow of new and fresh ideas young recruits carry with them is beneficial to their business, their team, and ultimately their clients.

Teesside University student Emma Robinson from Middlesbrough is currently beginning the ‘sandwich’ year of her Marketing degree. Her position at Horizonworks Marketing is Marketing Executive, and will allow her to engage with clients and put into practice theories that have been taught to her over the past two years at university.

Emma comments; “I am very pleased to have been given this opportunity, I feel that it will benefit me by giving me a detailed perspective of what the marketing industry is about and what is involved. I was encouraged to do a placement by my University in order to increase both my employability and aid me in my studies. I look forward to being taught new skills and feel confident that I can offer ideas that will add value to Horizonworks”.

Marco Weduwer, joins Horizonworks from Newcastle University as he undertakes his eagerly anticipated ‘sandwich’ year as Marketing Executive. He comments; “I’m delighted to be starting work with Horizonworks. The value of a long-term placement and the real-life experience that goes with it has been emphasised since day one at University. In today’s hostile economic climate, anything that will set you apart from other graduates is worth grabbing with both hands. To be able to gain this experience as an active part of an up-and-coming local business, in such a great city, can only be seen as a bonus.”

Founded in March 2010, Horizonworks Marketing has quickly grown into a well respected outsourced marketing department. They deliver services in all areas of marketing to a number of clients, giving their latest recruits a prized insight into various industry sectors.
