This week we have focussed on all the key ingredients that make up a marketing strategy.

Here’s a recap on what we’ve covered so far:

Now, we need to use what we’ve learnt and put them into writing your marketing strategy. Star explains: “A clear and focussed marketing strategy is vital for any business and should fundamentally outline how the products and services you provide meet your customer needs and how long term and profitable relationships will be developed.”

Your marketing strategy should cover core areas including:

  • How your marketing strategy supports the overall business objectives
  • An outline of your target markets
  • A definition of your customers and their ‘needs’
  • A clear idea of your proposition
